As her final display of stupidity, she thinks she can call out the National Guard. She simply does not have legal power to do so. What an ignorant buffoon, even up until the last minute of her disastrous term as mayor of a failing major city. Branden Johnson will have her to blame for his entire term and he will be mostly right.

Lightfoot will soon be joining the ‘general population’ again. She won’t have +100 CPD cops and taxpayer funded private security to guard her and her family. Will she stay in Chicago to welcome the illegal migrants, and feed and house them?

When did she ever care….False cry for help. Possibly, this is the lead up to declaring marshal law here and throughout the country.

Maybe Fox is not seeking re-election, because, the police state will be in place by then. Fox did the job the maniacal philanthropists requested of her. Destruction mission accomplished.

Simple solution, SECURE THE BORDER. Easy words for SloJoe and company to understand. President Trump, 10K a year at the border, SloJoe 10K a day.

Oak Park too, and while we’re at it Hinsdale and Naperville. See how the AWFL’s like it.

More accurate quote: “We’ve reached a breaking point in our response to this SELF CREATED humanitarian crisis”. How about deporting all of the criminal illegal aliens?

“More than 8,000 migrants have come to Chicago since August”

Seriously? That’s tiny compared to the number crossing the border. Send Chicago some more, a lot more. The Dems created this problem. Let them deal with it.

This should happen this week and next week at the border. Where will they go next? Chicago?

Hmm, declare Chicago a Sancutary City then call out the guard. That’s the hallmark of municipal governance genius.

Calling out the Nat’l Guard to serve these criminals, but not calling them to serve the ones shooting each other and innocent bystanders daily. Genius indeed.

Why not call Pritzker instead? If the national guard comes in, they’ll never leave. We have our own state police force.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
