Correct me if I’m wrong, but per JB’s emergency order from fall of ’22’, If your an undocumented asylum seeker that evil Abbott has bused in from Texas or your a guy from India (or somewhere) on an expire student visa from a decade ago, or something, you can go to your IDHS office in Rockford, Chicago or where ever in the state and claim your benefits$ (medicaid, SNAP, housing assistance, etc)
If your a smart undocumented asylum seekers you want to seek assistance in a tony burb like Evanston (i read they have similar programs). Why would you want to be housed in an old cps school in Englewood? In fall of ’22’ jb declared state of emergency for asylum seekers assistance from evil Abbott &DeSantis busing immigrants that applies to entire state not just Chicago. The entire state is a sanctuary state, so i assume all municipalities in Illinois will have to provide assistance?
