Mayor Lori Lightfoot says city will ‘take action’ if defiant churches hold in-person services despite stay-at-home orders – Chicago Tribune

The dispute kicked off after Metro Praise International Church on the Northwest Side opened its doors for in-person services in an act church officials described as “passive resistance” to Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s ongoing stay-at-home order.

This is the Progressive ideology in action — treat everyone as they are children, and control what is best for them.

Progressives say they respect “diversity” in lifestyle, but they truly do not.

Progressives say they work for “regular people,” but they do not.

They are control freaks who do not like to be defied. And when they think they’re right (which is all the time) they fight to the death to enforce their self righteousness on YOU.

That pretty well sums it up.

Now, a quick question: What is the difference between a Progressive and a Communist?

LL, get back in your box. You were elected as the best of two awful choices. You do not have a “mandate” to rule, simply to not screw this up – never a fan of Rahm, but at least he was competent and realized that it was his obligation to intelligently represent ALL of his constituents…

Please, rise up, churches, you need to file a lawsuit! If California can do it you can too!
My guess is you will have to do it without Catholic Churches. They do not know how to fight, only cower!
Chicago, under the command of Lightfoot, soon to follow the path of Detroit.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
