Mayor’s Office for Community Safety and Chicago Department of Public Health Launch ‘A Safe Chicago For All’ Initiative – Chicago Crusader

“Our work is based on the belief that a holistic approach to community safety which, rooted in collaboration across all sectors, is essential to eradicating centuries of racism and purposeful disinvestment and violence, so that together we can forge a path toward a safer, more equitable Chicago,” said Garien Gatewood, Deputy Mayor for Community Safety.

Hmm.. holistic approach to crime with counselors and peace circles, not working. Blaming one’s own lack of responsibility upon racism, saw that coming. Divestment in neighborhoods, a predictable outcome when businesses are being stole blind. Violence, another outcome of unemployable people getting their income through drug trafficking, theft etc. Putting people in touch with resources ( taxpayer dollars), going to an overburdened well that is rapidly drying up due to overuse. Can’t really see how the assistant director of the People’s Working Party of the Central Committee is going to get around those issues.

He almost made it through his speech without blaming whites for the horror show that is Chicago.

This is very much headed for BJ paraphrasing Lori in a couple of years that all the building blocks are in place, but he needs just four more years for his wondrous plans to be fully implemented.
