Measure banning wildlife hunt contests passes Illinois House – Center Square

State Rep. Wayne Rosenthal is worried that events like The Squirrel Bowl will be targeted. “This past year they [The Squirrel Bowl] took in over $203,000 … that competition. It’s two days and two-man teams and you have fathers and sons, mothers and daughters all participating in this. They also support HOOA, which is an organization that promotes healing for veterans.”

Leave the squirrels alone. There’s plenty of other game to hunt. Squirrels are the most awesome of all the woodland creatures, evolving themselves from tree rats into bushy trailed, playful and friendly neighborhood wildlife. Leave them alone.
