Let me know when it gets back below $2.00

It amazing that as prices rise the rhetoric is reserved, but a $0.20 drop (in the 4% range) and they use the word ‘plummet.’

Controlling language is very powerful. “1984” Newspeak is alive and well in 2022.

Buy 100 gallons of gas @ $5.00 per gallon equals $500.00. Save $0.023 cents a gallon because of suspended (haha) gas tax equals $2.30 savings on that 100 gallons. THANK YOU JB!!!

It would be nice if you would choose a different name to use.

That’s a line from a kids show in the 1950’s called Andy’s Gang. Froggy was a mischievous character who appeared when the kids in the audience shouted the phrase “Plunk Your Magic Twanger Froggy” and in a cloud of smoke Froggy, the mischievous character would appear with the line “Hiya kids Hiya” and the kid audience would yell “Hiya Froggy”. Nothing but a line from a kids show that was on every Saturday morning for years. Nothing else, a line from a kids show. Andy Devine was the host. YouTube has several shows available for your or anyone else’s viewing… Read more »

I recall that line from the 50s – without that history it might raise a few eyebrows.

So would a lot of terms and things we did back in the day.

Personally, I was a Mighty Mouse fan. Man, it was good.

Here I come to save the day, that means that Mighty Mouse is on the way. On the sea or on the land he’s got the situation well in hand. Another Saturday morning staple.

That prompted me to look at Youtube for it. It’s all there now open source. Where art though today, Mighty Mouse? Lots of Yosemite Sam there too, my runner-up: “The routinest toutinest, shnootinest cowboy east, west, north and south of the Pecos.”

We have to educate the youngins or younglins about shows way before their time. Watched those shows on an old RCA black and white TV with skinny legs.
I remember that show with Andy Devine. I was 3 and still it remember a little. What about the other shows with Frazier Thomas (Garfield Goose and Family Classics) and Captain Kangaroo with Mr. Green Jeans https://boomerflashback.com/mr-green-jeans/
Ray Raynor and Chelveston and Cuddly in the 60’s
Those were the days!!

I had the same reaction at first, but then, what the hell, I use the name of a fictional fantasy character that’s old, drinks, smokes pot, doesn’t bathe very often, uses his magic wand as a back scratcher and molests elves.
