Migrants have repeatedly complained about the conditions at shelters, saying they’re too crowded, don’t offer enough privacy and the quality of the food is poor. “Give us papers. Let us work,” said Kevin Aleanyer Perez Suares, speaking in Spanish. “We’re human, and without money for food or a home, people are getting desperate. You want to send us to a shelter? Why? Just give us work so we can live.”
So is this an admission that they are economic illegals? Not fleeing persecution? Kick them all out!

My son in law and daughter in law both got laid off this month. Even while working they lived check to check. She made 30K a year he made 55K. One child 4 years old. 200K in student loans. A decaying townhome mortgage of $2100 a month, plus bills. And they just racked up 50K in medical bills trying to have a baby as she is turning 40. No health insurance now. Neither of them have ever collected unemployment or food stamps in their lives. They are panicking. So OK all you illegal Mexicans, stand in line for your job,… Read more »

I appreciate the desire to work, but who promised you a job? There are more unemployed Americans every day as an economic downtown is underway. Layoffs are up. Sorry folks, but legal Americans get first crack at the jobs.
There’s an economic depression on the horizon, there are dark, dark clouds on the horizon, from a collapsed and frozen real estate market, broken financial markets, collapsing car markets, stealth and announced layoffs everywhere, record high insurance rates…we are all poorer from inflation, but the restaurants are packed, the stores are full and credit card debt is at record highs. The rest of the world have begun reporting negative economic numbers in a time of high inflation, and China is entering a deflationary period that no economic stimulus can fix. All of this is coming here and the illegal immigrants… Read more »
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
I hear that Venezuela is hiring

Student loans cannot be discharged thru bankruptcy.
Yes they can, but only as of recently. Very new development:
