Migrants Sent On One-Way Flights From Texas Sleeping At O’Hare As City Scrambles To Find Them Shelter – Block Club Chicago

The city said there is “no coordination” happening right now between the city and government entities or community organizations in Texas, city hall spokesperson Cesar Rodriguez said. For now, the city is transporting migrants to city spaces, including “newly established respite centers,” to wait for shelter placement, Rodriguez said. Some migrants have been staying at police stations and libraries.

Chicago democrats whining about the incoming flow of illegal immigrants into the welcoming city they established and looking for answers. Send a letter to Texas governor about the situation, a situation Texas and other border states have been dealing with for years. How about getting SloJoe and the democrats in DC to stop the invasion?

A better way to look at it is how folks could potentially make money off of mass immigration. Large corporations don’t care if it’s coming out of your pocket! Large corporations purposely set up and lobby for negative externalities to increase revenue. I’ve got a strong assessment that the U.S Chamber of Commerce and other organizations with an interest in cheap labor are behind this scheme. SNAP benefits should also be looked at as a subsidy to large corporations, as well as a social safety net. The links below indicate that most full time workers receiving SNAP are in the… Read more »

I guess Biden really does like federalism: the states are figuring it out. Ship them all to Chicago, Gov Abbott. Since Chicago is ineptly led, it’s a good opportunity for the churches in Chicago to step up and minister to these people and get them integrated safely. Chicago needs more people eager to work for a beautiful future, and here they are. The Chicago government has no interest in these people since they aren’t in a union. So churches… step up! I was just in the northwest side and stunned at all the empty storefronts. Chicago politicians have decimated the… Read more »

Yes, where are the churches? The reverends, ministers, priests, Phather Phleger?
Crickets.
The southwest side of Chicago is the same as the NW side. Closed businesses, vacant storefronts. A taquieria here and there. I visited my old neighborhood last summer. I didn’t feel safe. I will never go back there again.

Well, they’re already at the airport so put them on a plane to Guam or some other US territory. They wanted to be in US, didn’t specify which part of the US.

Send them to the Hyatt hotel chain. Since the governor loves “Border Jumpers” and Illinois sanctuary status he probably has many residing in his hotels. NOT! It would be good to know if he has even just one Jumper in his hotel from the kindness of his heart and the humanitarian that he thinks he is. How can we find out if he has any in his hotels?

Anyone standing in between JB and a news camera or microphone would have been crushed if they weren’t nimble enough to get out of his way as he rushed to brag time-n-gain about how Illinois was a progressive and inclusive sanctuary state for illegal aliens.

That was the easy part – now comes figuring out how to make it all actually work, and who pays for whatever that all costs.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
