Illinois’ Rainy Day Fund has a balance of more than $2 billion. Illinois Comptroller Susana Mendoza says a $2 billion reserve would run the state for about 15 days, and adds that nearly half of all states have at least a 50-day reserve.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
Are those red states or blue states that have a 50 day reserve fund Susana? Serious question.
