Modest progress in bargaining as national teachers union leader calls on Lightfoot to work with CTU: ‘Why is the mayor not listening?’ – Chicago Tribune*

A joint statement from the mayor’s office and CPS CEO Janice Jackson said it was the first time in more than 70 meetings that CTU and CPS have made an agreement: “The commitments outlined in these four agreements align with the latest public health guidance, and we are encouraged by the progress that we have made. There is still significant work that needs to be done on the remaining several open issues.”

I love watching the woke negotiate with the woke. Lightfart has to be wimpy in dealing with unions because to her unions are like church congregations praising wokeness. And the union has to be entitled because they think government owes them everything. It is now just a big passive aggressive game. The deal when it finally comes will be of no benefit to anyone except to make it look like they both won.

“Not listening”. They seem to believe that listening and conversation really only mean “we get what we want, any other point of view is irrelevant”. Same old $%&# we have been hearing for years.

School vouchers for all now. The vermin of CTU need some competition, a massive pay cut and a massive pension cut.
