More than 1 in 8 registered Illinois voters cast early ballots – Center Square

Voter turnout for the previous general election in 2020 was 73 percent, the highest since 1992. With the increased number of early votes this year, Illinois State Board of Elections spokesman Matt Dietrich predicted what turnout could be. "I think we should hit or surpass that 73 percent, just based off what we’re seeing,” he said.

I have my doubts that voter turnout in Illinois was really 73% during COVID when a Biden blowout in Illinois was all but guaranteed.
