More than 1,000 solar energy jobs coming to Chicago’s South, West sides – CBS2 (Chicago)

With this investment being called the next step in the state's renewable energy plan, Gov. Pritzker was asked about the goal he set through the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act — which calls for 100 percent clean energy in Illinois by 2050. He said, "We're actually in one of the best positions to be able to achieve that. Let's start with 53-54 percent of our power comes from a clean energy source already—and that's our nuclear reactors."
