Most Chicagoans, aldermen oppose Johnson’s 2026 budget – Illinois Policy

This marks the second straight year that a majority of Chicago aldermen have pushed back on Johnson’s budget proposal after breaking his campaign promise and proposing a $300 million property tax increase last year.
