Mount Prospect trustees vote to have police patch with thin blue line removed – Daily Herald*

Next on Mt Prospect’s agenda according to the Mayor is Equity, Equality and diversity. Communists are in the minority in Mt. Prospect, but in the majority on the board, you can put the mayor in the communist category too as far as I am concerned.

I do believe the League of Communist Women voters of Arlington Heights were also behind this push.

The ruling was no surprise.
This matter should have been voted on by the residents, not determined by a Board who is 3/4 left leaning.

You have my support Chief Koziol and all of the Mt. Prospect Police.
The Blue Line Patch should have been allowed to remain!

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
