Murder, electronic monitoring, Chicago’s top cop, an acquittal, guns, pot, a viral video, Lollapalooza, questions about prosecutorial decisions, and a dumbfounded judge. This story has it all. – CWB Chicago

A man who was singled out by the Chicago police superintendent as an example of an alleged murderer who should not have been released on electronic monitoring, only to be found not guilty six months later, allegedly ran from a crashed car in the Loop Thursday evening, leaving behind a bag containing $8,000 in marijuana and a loaded handgun. Prosecutors charged him with the pot that was in the bag, but they did not charge him with the gun that allegedly had an auto-switch and extended magazine attached, leaving a Cook County judge dumbfounded.

Is the guy in the tank top going to be charged with a hate crime for tripping and tackling honor student?

Well then, I guess guns aren’t the problem, no matter what anyone says.

Kim Foxx obviously approves of automatic weapons on the streets, so long as it’s her people carrying them. No other conclusion can be drawn from this case.

Why is it so hard for people to draw the obvious conclusions from the evil cabal running Illinois?
When someone publicly hates you and your way of life, recognize it, then act accordingly.
That’s why I no longer live in Illinois.

Big nose Merrick Garfinkle refuses to engage ATF ( or is it AFT?) for National Firearms Act violations (NFA) in Cook County while President Bidet furnishing obscene quantities of small arms to Ukraine without public oversight. Jungle bunny Eric Holder shipped small arms to Mexican drug barons and one was used to murder a US patrol agent. Both of these communist gangsters are accessories to murder. Remember them when the balloon goes up!

Prosecutors are overworked and Chicago courtrooms are understaffed, so we’re told.

Probably decided to avoid assigning resources to the two-drug-thugs-with-an-automatic-weapon crime so they have time to gin up charges on the white guy in tie-dye who helped the police arrest them.

Can’t have that sort of thing going on…….

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
