Naperville councilman proposes exploring system for local residents who want to host migrant families – Naperville Sun*

Naperville City Councilman Josh McBroom is adamant the city should not use taxpayer dollars to house or aid migrant families amid the continued and growing influx of asylum-seekers to the Chicago area. However, he would welcome Naperville families being given the option to host migrant families instead. Six buses carrying migrants have stopped at Naperville’s downtown Metra station since Dec. 21, according to city spokeswoman Linda LaCloche.

Instead of asking residents to take strangers into their home Mayor and council should take them into their home experiment with their family , . These are strangers , we don’t know nothing about , and you want residents to open their home ,support them cloth them feed them . What incentive are they providing these residents , if you gonna start making it easy they will never stand on there own feet I say stop entry 35000 migrants that will be raising taxes ,and programs for Illinois residents right now can’t help them because their being exhausted helping migrants… Read more »

It went right over your head Debbie. The suggestion was brilliant along the lines of Governor Abbott’s bus passes.

Here ya go, Old Joe… this tale is just as tear – inducing as when Old Yeller died: Migrant family finds home with Evanston church https://evanstonroundtable.com/2024/01/17/venezuelan-migrant-family-evanston-church/ “After living in a tent outside a Chicago police station for nearly a month, the Gonzalez family is finally able to call someplace home: Evanston… Pastor Harris-Ferree, who uses they/them pronouns, said they got the idea to house a family last summer after one of their church members attended a training led by Faith Community Initiative… it was decided that Grace Lutheran Church, 1430 South Blvd. in Evanston, would be the best fit for… Read more »

Considering how empty the protestant churches have become lately, filling them up with migrants is a good use for them. I’d rather see them filled with migrants than pagan priestesses masquerading as Christian teachers.

Naperville is an excellent location for sending the immigrants. Why I would be willing to bet Dupage Dan of the Capitol Fax crowd has already been yearning to have a few at his house as a show of being a true liberal Illinoisan.

We need more Josh McBroom’s to hold the virtue signalers accountable. These people need to walk the talk and step up to the plate.

Naperville is the epicenter of lefty lunacy in DuPage County. They should all open their doors and let the Venezuelans take whatever they want. It’s the new world order those idiots have been embracing for years.

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
