Junkies in a library, that tells a story about the state of our society under liberal guidance.

And globohomo in the children’s section too. The entire institution of librarianship has been taken over by the communist with the goal of warping children’s minds. The little old lady librarian has been replaced by the childless, young they/them with purple hair and a globohomo flag lapel on their shirt. I’m all for destroying the library system and building it up from scratch. Sometimes, you have to destroy something to save it.

Remember when the local library didn’t double as a homeless shelter?

My employer has an office in the Evanston Public Library. Because of recent incidents with disruptive and threatening homeless, we now keep our office door locked at all times. People used to be able to walk in anytime to utilize our nice resources, now they must make confirmed appointments. Hardly a “welcoming environment”, but that is what it has come to…

Needless to say, the public restrooms are a scary mess, with bums shooting up, camping, etc…

The EPL Director says this is all in the guise of “equity”, natch..,!!!

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
