Nearly half of Chicago voters oppose 2nd term for Lightfoot, poll shows – FOX32 (Chicago)

"For anybody who is considering running, those are obviously encouraging numbers that I think at least right now the snapshot in time is that Chicago is done with Mayor Lightfoot," Republican activist Matt Podgorski said of the survey results.

We will have a three way run off Valas Duncan and Lori Northside will abandon Lori and go with Duncan Then the worst will start

And yet she will win in a Landslide election, not even close, against any Republican.

Which means Chicago is doomed for destruction. Near 0 Probability Chicago escapes financial destruction and decay.

No. Despite all of Lightfoot’s failings, financial incompetence, looting and rioting support and racist policies……..she’s a better choice than Preckwinkle.

What a pathetic lesser-of-two-evils for Chicago Voters. Preckwinkle or Lightfoot. That is directly the result of nearly 100 years of single party rule. People who insist on voting Democrat regardless of the candidate or issue are the root cause and need to wake up and change their voting habits.

Lori should be recruited for her legal skills as a former prosecutor. She should be appointed special counsel to investigate Hunter Biden. She’d be forced to go where no one dare tread. That’s our Judiciary! Go Brandon!

Nearly Half. Does not give me much hope for Chicago. Unless this is a bogus poll number like so many are. If not, I guess these voters deserve what they get.

Vallas doesn’t stand a chance, he’s white. Does anybody think that the black voters are going to abandon one of theirs and vote for the white guy? If you do I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

Lori will dedicate her energy buying votes and harassing productive workers. Se contributes nothing but divisiveness.

The other half consist of gangbangers/drive by shooters/looters/car jackers/hoodlums/robbers/rapists/murderers and other dregs of society. They know that there will be no prosecutions for their actions.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
