Lincoln College has been closed since the spring semester of 2022. State Sen. Sally Turner explained that the money has been part of the budget since 2018 and continues to roll over due to its inclusion in a previously passed law. When asked why a private college would receive state funding, Turner speculated it might be intended "for the betterment of the people."
Oh come on now! They are now spending tax dollars on schools that are actually closed?! $500K to a collage that is not even open?! Good God. It is these ridiculous corruption and incompetence filled actions that cause people to mistrust anything government says. If this representative now knows about it…why the hell isn’t she stopping it from happening…instead she shrugs and says, “well it was included in a previous law”? So the hell what! Good work Illinois.

I love it– “for the betterment of the people.” Which people?
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
