A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
They are now poised to become politicians. How many pols can read the 800-1,000 page budgets in 4 hours or less when Madigan used to put them in the last minute. Those budgets were passed based on Cliff notes. No one read those and understood them except for a select few like Madigan did and those who wrote it.
82% is laughable. Juggling stats, magic and imagination.
That’s one person who’s “very, very proud.” I think there’s one other person who’s very proud and another who’s only proud. The remaining 99+ percent should be very very horrified.
Of those 82.9% who “graduate” 74 % CANNOT read at grade level. Chicago taxpayers are receiving very little educational value for their money and parents who are concerned about their kids are receiving even less. CPS and CTU working together to waste billions on teachers benefits to produce illiterate students.

I believe everything from CPS! I think it’s inverted. 82.9 never graduate would be more accurate.
How does CPS calculate graduation rate? Is it just who is enrolled as a senior and does/does not graduate or do they track students from when they first enter high school to see if they graduate? How do they account for transfers to and from the district?
A graduate includes any student enrolled but never seen! It’s assumed they’ve graduated and moved on to a new career.
Hurray! But of course no mention of how many of them can read or do math at a twelfth grade level. Just some minor details they left out.
None of that matters. Progressive indoctrination has done wonders for the CPS graduation rate. Soon we’ll have an entire city of illiterate but politically active democrat voters and ballot harvesters.
