I’d rather have an incompetent progressive than a competent one. Chicago might very well elect a competent progressive, with far worse consequences, after Brandon’s gone. He could have had this job for life if he just bucked national Democrats on illegal immigration, but he was afraid.

Yes, I prefer an AOC. a Karen Bass, or a David Hogg, the latter a 24 year – old creep who was just elected to the DNC National Committee; from the “National Review” article, “David Hogg Will Not Solve Democrats’ Problems, Because He Is the Result of Them”: “Some words of wisdom from David Hogg, youthful anti-gun progressive activist and now — after this weekend — vice-chairman of the Democratic National Committee: “I’m never planning on having kids. I would much rather own a Porsche and have a Portuguese water dog and golden doodle. Long term it’s cheaper, better for… Read more »

Can anyone name a “competently” run progress big city in America? Especially where middle or moderate income folks aren’t completely priced out….This was a big reason why Trump won, and the dems are still tying to figure it out why nobody loves their brand despite all the “free stuff”

Progressive competence means utter destruction. That’s what progressive means: to destroy what it exists and hope that a communist utopia replaces it, which of course, never happens. Progressive incompetence means only partial destruction. A competent progressive gets very serious about tearing everything down and destroying everything. I would suggest the progressive mayor of Minneapolis is competent, he set out to systematically destroy everything: he’s destroyed housing, neighborhoods, the fire department, the police department, the city budget, and Minneapolis is setting murder rate records ever since St. Floyd was murdered. There isn’t any city in America that has been as systematically… Read more »

BJ and CTU don’t give a fig about opinion polls. BJ was purchased by CTU to steal, borrow, grift, loot, grab, thieve, shoplift and burglarize all of Chicago’s cash and shovel it into the bottomless piehole of CTU. CTU leeches don’t care about tomorrow or about consequences. If Chicago is financially destroyed in the process of CTU criminality they dont care. They want all the treasure that they can grab because they are parasitic thieves. CTU is not a labor union and is instead a Terrorist Organization. While its great that the Chicago citizenry are finally waking up to the… Read more »

From a day ago, here’s Alderman Waguespack / wgn interview stating everyone thinks the Brando admin is a complete incompetent joke. (https://wgnradio.com/wgn-plus/steve-dales-other-world/ald-waguespack-speaks-out-against-mayor-johnson/)

Disagree with Waguespack’s progressive politics if you want, but he’s a straight shooter, smart and genuinely ethical.

Sure would be embarrassing if someone would do a Chicago poll showing Trump favorably polling way ahead of rock bottom Brando, CTU & crew. (He got 22% Chicago vote)

We have a real shortage of good polls in IL. Would love to see Pritzker approval ratings, support levels on deportations and much more.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
