New Report Reveals How Much More Likely Black People Are To Be Stopped And Subjected To Force By Chicago Police – CBS2 (Chicago)

The inspector general’s office analyzed nearly 2 ½ years of police stops and use-of-force incidents from Oct. 17, 2017, through Feb. 28, 2020, and found that those disparities happen in every district of the Chicago Police Department, regardless of the district’s racial makeup.

Analyzing everything through the lens of race is wrong headed; more disappointing coverage by CBS2. Majority of NFL and NBA players are POC – is that a form of racism? I don’t think so. More likely meritocracy in action. No complaints from the race hustlers on that. Chicago and Cook county government officials are predominantly POCs. No complaints from the race hustlers on that either. The same people who rally the voters with calls for ending systemic racism are running the system. Huh? 96% of a districts population is black and 97% of the stops are black people. How is that’s inappropriate? Out of a 100 people there is 1 extra black person stopped, WOW! Look at the news, how many car jacking suspects are white? Look at the shop lifting gangs invading Michigan Ave, how many are white? Look at the daily crime reports making headline stories how many are white? Look at CTA robberies, how many whites. Check the available homicide stats from 2011 to present. Yearly averages 80% involve blacks, 15% hispanics and the remaining 5% involved all other races… Read more »

It’s actually a small number of people who commit the majority of crimes. It’s become obviously apparent since social justice requires releasing criminals, most of whom are repeat offenders. Giving someone a second chance, in most cases, is OK, but giving someone a fourth chance is wrong.
