Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. “ If there were more funding ( always the first Dem option )” etc.. How about if thousands of illegals with no place to live didn’t show up after being foolishly invited to by Brandon and JB? How many already homeless Americans got squoze out by the “dreamers seeking a better life”? How many Americans lost out on shelter due to the “sparks of divinity”? Let’s ignore that and champion for even more money to be squandered on people that are in this country illegally.
