New voting-rights push surfaces in Springfield to prevent suppression at the polls – Chicago Sun-Times

The bill sponsored by state Sen. Graciela Guzman would specifically grant judges the ability to redraw racially imbalanced legislative maps and require non-English speaking voters receive translated ballots, access to bilingual poll workers, or over-the-phone non-English assistance, among other things.

Democrats should absolutely gerrymander. And Republicans should do the same. And if a state happens to flip in the middle of a decade, all of their seats in congress should do the same. This is what power looks like.
