Oak Park violated federal law in banning natgas in new homes, other buildings: Lawsuit – Cook County Record

The lawsuit specifically accuses Oak Park of attempting to exceed its authority by banning natural gas appliances when the Coalition says the use of such appliances is explicitly protected by the federal law known as the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA).

Like the state, they don’t care if what they pass is constitutional they can play court delay for years.

Oak Park’s ban was a big goal of arrogant know it all village trustee Susan Buchanan and her Oak Park Climate Action Network. Buchanan was also the driving force behind Oak Park forcing residents to bag leaves and/or incur higher costs rather than continue a decades long program of just pushing them onto the street for collection. This was also in the name of “sustainability”.
