Obama Presidential Center to open in June, former president says – Chicago Sun-Times

The Obama Presidential Center is currently under construction. The four-building complex features the museum tower, an auditorium, a Chicago Public Library branch and an athletic facility. The presidential center in Jackson Park was announced in 2015 and was originally slated to open in 2021, but lawsuits and federal reviews suspended construction at times. Construction didn’t actually begin until 2021. The center’s opening had recently been set for sometime in spring 2026.

Lots of high minded word salad from Obama. What is a $850 million center going to do that a $100 million center wouldn’t? Loved Obama saying old people should get out of the way…a reminder to all the 70 and 80+ year olds addicted to power and clinging to it at the national, state and local level.
