Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The “reflections” of someone on the job for about 7 months have no value.
BJ as mayor is the most realistic ever example of letting the Inmates run the asylum.
If no for affirmative action Johnson would have a squeegee and would be washing car windows on some street corner
His actions are not affirmative. He’s completely destroyed the black community.
Reading through Johnson’s remarks makes me feel like “MAGA” is the new term for “whitey” and, I must admit, it works rather well for him on the election front.
He’s got a 28% approval rating and the few constituents he has left are turning against him.
The illegal immigrant fiasco will soon pass…and few voters will remember any of this in 2027.
Nobody knows what this guy is talking about whenever he speaks, especially him. It’s always a bunch of mumbo jumbo about some perceived slight or an excuse for something he hasn’t achieved. One thing is certain, he is so far out over his skis that the city will be exponentially worse off when he’s done with his destructive behavior. And because Chicago is already a fiscal nightmare, he won’t be able to keep his silly promises, or make anyone happy. He’s just as bad as his predecessor.
At least Harold Washington was entertaining.
Maybe Mayor BJ can get a gig teaching at Harvard once his first and only term is finished!!
