Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau to seek GOP nomination in new 6th Congressional District – Daily Southtown*

Pekau and the Orland Park Village Board have been highly critical of Illinois Democrats and particularly Gov. J.B. Pritzker regarding pandemic restrictions. Filed in federal court in June 2020 then withdrawn in early October, a lawsuit the village filed against Pritzker had accused the governor of violating the due process and equal protection clauses of the U.S. Constitution in imposing business shutdowns during the height of the pandemic.
