Schools in North Palos Elementary District 117 and Orland Park Elementary District 135 have long invited local author Fern Schumer Chapman to speak about her mother’s escape from Nazi Germany.

Funny how some schools have no problem with a drag queen bingo session or books in the library touting the wonders of alternative genders and gay pride flags everywhere, but when a needed lesson about one of the darkest periods in human history is to be addressed, it’s hands off.
