This is part of Chinese military industrial complex and these large conglomerates answer to the government and it’s leadership. No one is in business without their blessing and watchful eye. All of this across the world serves the strategic interest of China first and foremost. Whether it be energy, semiconductors, technology, it’s all part of a strategy of dominance and influence. There will be a time when they try to collapse the dollar and that will be the first loss of our economic prestige and power. That will be done with coordination from inside the US with conspirators inside US… Read more »

China is practically bankrupt. This plant might never be built. Every other manufacturer turned down the state of Illinois but then suddenly some Chinese company shows up and claims they’re going to build a plant here? LOL We are decoupling from China rather quickly, just read the other day that Mexico just replaced China as our biggest trading partner. Just wait until China invades Taiwan to take control of their semiconductor industry (which they are almost certain to do, very soon) and sanctions on China prevent them from building this plant in the first place. Of course they do! Another thing nobody is talking about: lithium batteries are extremely flammable. There is no way to put out a lithium fire! Car batteries are exponentially more dangerous than handheld devices and require 10 times the effort of traditional internal combustion engine fires. I can’t imagine how dangerous a battery plant could be and what kind of precautions would be needed to keep it safe. This is probably why China wants to do it here.

Details emerging about Chicago Teachers Union’s upcoming contract show just how divorced its demands, both extreme and expensive, are from the reality at Chicago schools. It’s not just about massive salary increases, but also about money for migrant students, climate initiatives, abortions and gender-affirming care. About blocking parental notification. Count on CTU’s demands to veer further from reality until the public finally says no.

Gov. Pritzker’s ‘ethics reform’ eliminates competitive elections and choice for voters – Wirepoints on AM 560 Chicago’s Morning Answer

Ted joined Dan and Amy to talk about a new law passed by the Democratic supermajority and signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker that results in brazen election interference, keeping Republicans off ballots; about a referendum that tests the waters for a renewed progressive income tax hike; about how the Parental Notification referendum question was knocked off the ballot; and why laws like that pass so easily.

Chicago needs more champions of literacy like Willie Wilson – Wirepoints

It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
