“You can be compassionate, but you can’t be foolish.”

Next time, apply that thinking when you vote.

Just another reason to stack folks. It’ll soon be cheaper to wipe your dupa with dollar bills than by TP with them.

Here’s a trivia question too ask the next Venezuelean illegal you run into. Ask him what happened to all those Bolivaros he used to have before Hugo Chaves came to power and initiated the workers paradise that caused hum to relocate to your hood?

Somewhat contrarian view: the school-aged migrants (legal or not) may be much more capable and ambitious than the current inmates of the public schools. That could be tested by restoring academic standards and civil behavior as attendance requirements. It might keep some schools open and some teachers employed while providing role models for those students have given up. Ibid. for their parents.

How about we replace politicians with some that are more ambitious and capable than current ones. We could test them by restoring standards and civil behavior.

“We are inviting in everyone like a magnet, ‘Everyone come here, collect all your freebies. We are going to give it to you.’ Every sucker in here is going to pay for it,” another resident said. Kudos to the unnamed resident for finally “Getting It”. Too late, but kudos to finally “Getting It”. “While compassionate for these children, Preston said, ‘I would expect that they would be coming here legally and be bound to the same guidelines and principles and laws that all of our own children as taxpaying citizens are.'” Oh you sweet, deluded child. “We had so many… Read more »

My thoughts are the hispanic minorities support the immigrants…and that is a lot of votes

Chicago is mostly a Mexican town, with small pockets of Guatemalans and Puerto Ricans. These new Venezuelans and other golden triangle freeloaders will upset the balance. I would expect intra-hispanic ethnic strife in the near future, with the only thing in common they share is taking over black neighborhoods, block by block. Mark my words. I say this because this is what happened in LA during the 90’s. The Straight Outta Compton of the 1990’s is long over as blacks were systemically displaced by hispanics. And not unsurprisingly, the murder rate in LA is much lower than Chicago despite having… Read more »

Yup, nothing is more motivating that demoralizing folks and telling them that things are only going to get worse. LOL

You would think these migrants have lawfully-established “elite-class” ultra-status, permitted as undocumented (“illegal”) immigrants to flout laws and regulations, to receive government benefits and subsidies, and exempted from prior enrollment and/or payment into our state and local governments’ taxation requirements.

Nor driver’s license or car insurance coverage, so if they crash into your car, it’s on your dime too.

Regarding CPS schools, CTU actually welcomes new students to bolster flagging enrollments.

Things are about to get worse too, rumor is in Cali and around the country, the illegals are showing up at the used car lots looking to buy beaters. Before now, they could usually get the ‘no license, no ssn’ insurance to be compliant with the law, leaving the lot with insurance. But with millions of illegals flooding into the country, the substandard insurance companies have stopped writing these policies or are putting holds the on the policies (which is the same as a denial). Whereas before they at least had insurance and were somewhat trackable through vehicle registration, now… Read more »

We’re racing towards Third World status for the USA, surely as quickly as the RMS Titanic sank…

There will be large geographic areas of certain states that will most certainly be third world. Large swathes of the west and south sides of Chicago will be indistinguishable from Mexico. Except that in Chicago, the minority groups don’t really build anything. The original immigrant groups came here and local developers would build the churches, the homes, the community centers, the theaters. The new immigrant groups come here and reappropriate them and don’t really develop anything. Sure they might do the drywall or painting or ditch digging, the manual labor, but they are not developing any sense of community or… Read more »

A good read: The Taco Truck Delusion Six months in Mexico taught me what a Latin American future for the USA really entails. https://www.theamericanconservative.com/the-taco-truck-delusion/ “.. the taco truck meme [is] the belief that open borders will just mean more taco trucks and otherwise no major changes to the American quality of life… The problem with the taco truck meme is that it isn’t true. I just spent six months living in Mexico. It’s a failed state. The country is ranked number one in the OECD for child abuse, number one in the world for dead journalists, and number four in the… Read more »

And claim Pilsen is “theirs”, ignoring the Bohemians and Czechs who preceded them, much less the native American Indians.

Very true, Pilsen residents get upset with gentrification, which realistically, is the first new construction in the neighborhood in decades. They haven’t managed to build anything for themselves, they’re just living off the old world skills of long dead Bohemians and Czechs.

Straange how it was a conspiracy theory about what the ultimate goal of the WEF was last year and now people see I was right all along. The whole scenario is far, far bigger than just Chicago.

Yup, peeps used to mock me a few years back when I broached this subject, but now they aren’t laffin’ so hard… the goal is turn the vast majority of us into indetured serfs – controlled via “hi – tech”, natch – dependent on the state. They want us cold, hungry, and with no or very limited “options”. The global warming/Green New Deal scam, open borders, BLM, the trans stuff, deep state manipulation of the press, politics and society, DEI and on and on… I wish George Orwell were around to comment on the present doings, but he’d probably be… Read more »

For starters, they want most of us dead. The solution for communists to nearly every problem is fewer people – and if they need you around, you’ll live in the pod and do their bidding.

I’m most concerned these children haven’t received their 4th covid booster shot. No one is safe until everyone has their 4th booster.

Good point, isn’t the CTU concerned about this. Sounds like it might be time to shut down the schools again.

I heard some have tested positive for tuberculosis. Weren’t the people that came through Ellis Island required to undergo health screenings before they could enter the country. Doesn’t sound like too much to ask for.

Saw a guy who characterized them as TubercuBusses. Michael Yon Jungle on Twitter. He did video from Panama showing bus after bus after bus rolling up highway, in Panama, full of people including Chinese. Who’s paying for these buses? Why are Chinese on the busses? Funny last year how the immigrants shown had enough to buy professionally silk screened t shirts that said “Thanks President Biden” Unless they were furnished.

Serious diseases coming in from the illegals since Biden stopped doing proper screenings, and some of them are real killers-TB, Polio, Measles, Covid. NY is actually concerned about a polio outbreak, for which there is no cure and can cripple you forever. They are also seeing many with mental health issues.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
