Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Brooks seems to make some sense. Although I know little about him…
Call me naive, but I’m going to believe in Pastor Brooks and his mission – unless/until I’m proven wrong.
I don’t know if he’ll accomplish his goals, but at least he’s trying.
Is he? His own son was recently arrested with magic mushrooms and the passenger in his car had a loaded gun, and there was a strong odor of cannabis in the car. Supposedly, his son was home for Thanksgiving Break from Morehouse college. Cost of tuition: $49,799 per year.

Ouch.
I enjoyed my moment. Drat.
I’m a stupid chicken.
Brooks should hire the gangs to protect the citizens. The Chitty of cops certainly will not.
For doing such a good job Brooks is buying new Cadillacs for all the cops. They deserve it because it’s a long drive to Punta Gorda Florida
Looks like Brooks is gonna be getting a Cadillac very soon
