Yep, the idea is dead. Illinois is surrounded by state governments who have embraced the idea of school choice. So, what’s wrong with the Idea Illinois? Isn’t it all about the kids? The unions have stopped School Choice and even expanded their war on anyone even mentioning the idea. The article talks about Black and Latino children being hurt by not having a choice, but this is an across the board problem. All parents should have a choice for their kids and should be able to direct where their tax dollars are allocated for that purpose. Districts and teachers unions… Read more »
