John Kass: Police Boss Garry McCarthy Loses Daughter to Chinese Fentanyl and Mexican Drug Gangs

“'The politics of it, we are weak right now. We are weak to the world. I hate to say it, but this administration is.' (McCarthy said.)...We talked of Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx who does not like prosecuting criminals and putting repeat violent offenders in prison lest they attack others. We talked of the difference of the Sen. Joe Biden who was once tough on crime and the President Joe Biden of today, who sits back and lets billionaire Marxist George Soros select his see-no-evil rogue prosecutors. We talked of famous Chicago police cases that led to the mayor’s office dropping police foot chases of criminals."

Fentanyl doesn’t seem to interest politicians. Nor do drug/alcohol addiction in general. Suspect politicians are only interested in issues with keen big-money lobbyists, and look to most non-sectarian social-problem issues as “beer and circus” distractions for masses.

Seems only people interested in “addiction” issues, other than families directly affected by loved ones who are addicted, are those non-profit and governmental agencies that have financial interest in drug-addiction industry. Oh, and yes, the cartels, the gangs, and the foreign governments that also have financial interest in drug industry; I’d include the pharmaceutical industry in that group too.

I personally know three good families who have lost a son or daughter to this.

Drugs are a nationwide scourge. I was watching an hour long documentary last night by Pete Santenello on YT last night about Appalachia and the locals in Virginia estimated 60+% of residents had addiction problems. Most I guess were pills rather than fentanyl. I’d suggest watching Winter’s Bone some time, good movie about meth in the hills of Appalachia. Jennifer Lawrence was brilliant in the film.

Such a tragedy. Everything seems to be cratering, nearly all due to Leftist Democrats. People who vote for Democrats are an accomplice to this.

Sad. So sad. Even a cops family can fall victim to this Demorcatic party imported scourge.

Biden is a drooling Alzheimer’s patient. This is Shinebama’s 3rd term. California seized enough fentanyl to literally kill everyone in the United States twice last year. Imagine a coffee can of it dumped by the water intake in Lake Michigan. It would take out half the city. https://www.gov.ca.gov/2022/12/23/california-seized-enough-fentanyl-to-potentially-kill-the-entire-population-of-north-america-twice/

Thanks to Democrats and their open border clusterf*ck, we not only get illegals and asylum fraudsters — we also get deadly drugs created by the Chinese Communists — and sent across the open border by Mexican socialist narco-government

And let’s not forget BIG PHARMA’S role in all of this as well. And some physicians who dole out these drugs like candy.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
