Poll: Garcia, Vallas and Lightfoot in dead heat in Chicago mayor’s race – WTTW

WBEZ/Chicago Sun-Times/Telemundo Chicago/NBC5 Poll conducted last week: Garcia led with 20%, followed by Vallas with 18% and Lightfoot with 17%. Businessman Willie Wilson trailed closely with 12% and Cook County Commissioner Brandon Johnson with 11%.

I don’t think Brandon Johnson is that far behind. I do think Willie Wilson’s message on crime, while controversial, is resonating in working class African American community.

It seems like Vallas is a gimme for the runoff. The other candidates are wasting their time attacking him because unless they get to the runoff, it’s moot.
