Portage Park’s St. Bartholomew School Building Will House At Least 300 Migrants – Block Club Chicago

The Catholic school at 4910 W. Addison St., closed earlier this year after merging with Pope Francis Academy. Migrants could move in early January, wrote Ald. How many illegal immigrants live in Portage Park already? My guess is probably a lot. I’ve driven through the NW side several times in the last two years and it’s much more hispanic than I remember. Remember, the vast majority, meaning nearly all of the 10,000,000 illegal immigrants seamlessly integrate into their separate and parallel ethnic societies. Chicago violent crime is on the rise. Portage Park is somewhat a safe community, but soon Car, Garage break-ins, and robberies will increase.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
