Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Based upon the funding and giveaways it seems like it is the government, ie taxpayers, that are “going” to build the plants in Illinois.
The EV industry must be doomed if they are coming to Illinois.
“Multiple EV companies have announced deals with Illinois this year,” this article says. Yeah, like who?

This news as of yesterday about reopening the Belvidere Stellantis plant maybe with some type of EV cars but not sure yet. So some good news.
