We can start by prohibiting any public union from donating to the politicians who will determine their contract’s. Individual donations, of course…but, as it is now, it’s just a money laundering scheme.

The bottom line is our children are not learning. Educators are needed not activists. The entire school board and all union heads should be fired. Parents should be held accountable for their childrens attendance. It’s s five days a week process. No excuses. School is not an option. Not many years ago there were over 400,000 students enrolled in CPS. Today the budgets have dramatically increased but attendance is near 300,000! Dozens of schools are 80% vacant. The whole system should be scrapped and starteed over anew!

With leaders like this one at the mic, Weingarten and Gates more concerned with their salaries and progressive values, in that order, than teaching anything useful in life, it is no surprise. Communism thrives on an ill informed, uneducated populace.

Democrats do not children voting adults educated illiterate voters are easier to control and manipulate. Democrats don’t want citizens to think for themselves and to have the ability to research issues. Democrats might be exposed!

I don’t speak for others here, but even trying three times I simply don’t get the meaning of your first sentence. It seems to be some mix of two statements without a clear transition or relationship.

In this case, there is causation as well as correlation.

Decertify the 2 largest national teachers unions. Both are democrat party slush funds. Both are leftist politically leaning cartels and spend vastly more money on donations than anything representing the “members”. Why should a teacher be required to join a union? There will be zero improvement in public education while they are in their current positions. Guaranteed,

Wirepoints’ Mark Glennon on AM560: Why We Need to “Relentlessly” Make the Blue State-Red State Case

Glennon raised the stakes of the moment in broader civilizational terms: “This election in Illinois is not about the usual pedestrian issues… it’s about nothing less than whether Western civilization survives in our democratic republic of America because [the left], just on the open border alone, will destroy the country, and now they’re bringing in the jihadists, frankly, into the party.” Audio and summary linked here.Audio and summary linked here.
