Under Pritzker’s leadership the state has yet to make any of the significant financial reforms needed to eliminate the structural deficit and reduce Illinois’ economically burdensome taxes. Spending in the state budget actually has increased – significantly – under Pritzker relative to baseline expectations in the state budget.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
