Pritzker defends state’s handling of migrants sent from Texas – CBS2 (Chicago)

"It's not like there's going to be a mass effort to send people to suburban locations," Gov. JB Pritzker said. "It's just that when there isn't enough room at hotels in the city of Chicago and people are arriving with a few hours notice, that we end up having to send them where it is possible to provide immediate shelter."

Are they migrants or refugees. If migrants they are illegally here and should be bussed home. If refugees, then refugee camps till conditions in their home country improves or they choose to go home.

There are no refugees. They’re all economic migrants and Biden is allowing an invasion. A proper country would throw this old man in prison the rest of his life for treason. But instead they celebrate Dark Brandon memes as he focuses his ire on the My Pillow guy.

Public school buildings could be repurposed, in part or in whole, as ideal housing for illegal aliens and homeless. 1. The buildings are up to code, as we know is required by law. 2. There is ample janitorial staff on hand to serve cleaning needs of the building. 3. The tiny portion needed for classroom functions and tiny student enrollment could be segmented apart from the housing quarters. 4. If additional showers and toilets are required, there are trailers designed as such used at weddings, movie filming locations, and other pop-up events. 5. School-aged residents could be easily integrated into… Read more »

Put them in his yard and in the yards of any politicians who support this. Let’s make them walk the talk for a change.

The Slob is worth $33 billion, he owns Hyatt Hotels. Set the illegals up in his hotels and he can pay for them.

Ok Texas, you’ve made your point, thank you…

Now, please stop sending more (D) voters, Chicago has more than enough…

Focus more on DC & Delaware…

There were absolutely NO hotels available in Chicago? Burr Ridge didn’t vote for Lightfoot and her ridiculous policies.

JB needs some of those “Your Tax Dollars Signs” made up and placed outside of his Hyatt hotels.

A great new way for the hotels to become bedbug infested the Illinois way

Pritzker had better get used to it – more buses on the way.

there isn’t enough room at hotels in the city of Chicago

That doesn’t even pass the giggle test:

There are more than 140 hotels and 45,000 rooms in Chicago’s central business district, according to Choose Chicago, the city’s official tourism arm

It doesn’t matter, Pritzker just had to virtue signal; he couldn’t help himself. It’s Lori! She had an epiphany ! Too many freeloaders for limited resources. The established Gimme Class doesn’t want to share their loot. I suspect even Joe Camel voiced his concern to Herself. Hmmm…….whatever happened with the popcorn caper?

You have immediate shelter at Soldier Field. Think the Superdome in Nawlins after Katrina.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
