Pritzker for president? Illinois governor’s trip to New Hampshire stirs speculation – State Journal-Register (Springfield)

Politicos will be paying attention to Pritzker's visit, said Chris Mooney, a political science professor at the University of Illinois Chicago. "You go to New Hampshire at this time to say, 'I’m interested (in being president). That’s an absolute message that is intentionally being sent, I would suggest, by the Pritzker campaign because what they have to do is start feeling out and this is what this is a process of. It’s what happens all the time. It’s the most cliché first step in a presidential campaign."

No, he has shown to be successful with his Tribe who are wishing to believe his message: all of Illinois outside Cook County are slack-jawed bigots who are responsible for all gun violence n America. Now is the time to protect ourselves from Him and His: Incorporate all unincorporated Illinois outside Cook County into a large Village (or series of incorporated Villages (municipalities ) sharing a similar charter of Small Government. Limit the authority of local Village government as to Public Borrowing. Declare ALL property within New Village as TIF-blighted, thus frozen in assessment for 23-35 years. Even contemplating his success means the rest of the country thinks he is a great Governor. (Insert hysterical laughter here.) Good Luck to him dispelling the rampant crime, high taxes, CRT and pension mess – as if Illinois isn’t the laughing stock of the nation already. He is just another rich white man for the self proclaimed party of diversity. Hopefully he will waste his billions on a run and leave Illinois alone.

Ted joined Dan and Amy to talk about a new law passed by the Democratic supermajority and signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker that results in brazen election interference, keeping Republicans off ballots; about a referendum that tests the waters for a renewed progressive income tax hike; about how the Parental Notification referendum question was knocked off the ballot; and why laws like that pass so easily.

Chicago needs more champions of literacy like Willie Wilson – Wirepoints

It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
