It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
No, he has shown to be successful with his Tribe who are wishing to believe his message: all of Illinois outside Cook County are slack-jawed bigots who are responsible for all gun violence n America. Even contemplating his success means the rest of the country thinks he is a great Governor. (Insert hysterical laughter here.) Good Luck to him dispelling the rampant crime, high taxes, CRT and pension mess – as if Illinois isn’t the laughing stock of the nation already. He is just another rich white man for the self proclaimed party of diversity. Hopefully he will waste his billions on a run and leave Illinois alone.
