Pritzker, Lightfoot, Preckwinkle Discuss ‘Miscarriage Of Justice,’ Upcoming Protests In Shooting Death Of Breonna Taylor – CBS2 (Chicago)

They urged peaceful protests. “This ruling is absolutely heartbreaking. It leaves more questions than it answers. My fear is that it reinforces the deeply held notion that there are two sides of justice. As a lawyer, former federal prosecutor and a defense attorney, I know that our flawed system, our criminal justice often feels unfair and can be brutal, particularly to people of color,” Lightfoot said.

I can see this from their perspective. Most of these protesters have way below average conflict resolution skills. They have a son, father, brother, relative or friend who thought it would be a good idea to resolve a problem with a gun. Someone ends up dying and someone ends up going to prison, but they think they were justified. Now you have a cop trying to make an arrest and a criminal ends up dying. They can’t differentiate between a pre-meditated act and a bad split second decision. Add to the problem by having a bunch of pandering elected officials… Read more »

Keep it up Lightfoot. Encourage and unleash your Brownshirts onto the citizenry. You will guarantee that a Trump reelection turns into a Trump landslide and maybe, just maybe……that Illinois turns Red. Bye bye Durkin. So keep it up.

These sick people glorify criminality to keep their race wars alive and distract from their complete failures as people/politicians.

Many of us still want justice for the treason committed in 2016 and virtually every year since but you don’t see us Burning, Looting, and Murdering (BLM).

That’s because unlike the sociopaths these scum incite, we actually strive to be productive members of society.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
