Our homes have and will be ATM machines for the pols. They have had their hands on and in our wallets and purses for decades now. Soon they will probably try to get direct deposit from our bank accounts into theirs after they have totally pilfered our home values.

Ok then guess what fat boy your polling places may have 50 or more people at one time. Cancel the primary you fing idiot

The primary is the real election in most of Illinois and Democrat votes are the keys to the kingdom. The Democrat party is more than willing to sacrifice thousands of senior’s lives just to get a handful of votes today. They know EXACTLY why they are keeping the polls open. It’s not for your benefit, it’s for their benefit, they want your votes to stay in power. Keep that in mind when fat slob says he’s keeping the polls open. He’s trading their deaths for his party’s votes.

I seriously doubt thousands of seniors will be sacrificed especially if only a handful of voters show up at the polls. Other states are voting today and more will in the coming weeks. Some states like Ohio, Georgia, and Louisiana have moved their primarys back. Other states may follow suit. But I’m shocked at your concern over the virus. Up until a week ago Orangeman didn’t think we had a problem. He even said “Does anybody die from the flu? I didn’t know people died from the flu.” Well, his political career will most likely die from this flu and… Read more »

You claim thousands of people will die because we are having an election today. I disagreed. What we can do is in 3 – 6 months look at Illinois’ mortality from this virus and see how many deaths are linked to today’s election and see who’s right.

I’m just being sarcastic and hyperbolic. It just makes little sense to close everything down but then demand that Democrats go vote for the candidate the machine tells them to vote for.

The 3-6 month look back is too long. we’ll know in two weeks if deaths spiked after today.

Although, 5 primaries have now been pushed back due to the virus. Ohio did it the day before their primary and it caused a lot of confusion. I think Illinois did the right thing by holding it on schedule as did Arizona and Florida.

I’m in total agreement that we can’t close everything down. Using common sense about gatherings and basic hygiene practices can do a lot to slow the spread of the virus. Nice chatten’ with ya.

Seniors are the ones that typically work the polls. People have been told to limit our interactions with others because of the vulnerable. We have brought our economy to a screeching halt to protect the few. Are you really not seeing the hypocrisy of shutting down the economy but letting people gather to vote? If only a handful of people come out to vote because they are scared does that really count as a fair election? Wouldn’t that meet the very definition of voter suppression?

Whose votes are being suppressed? Most of Illinois votes either very Red or very Blue, depending on the locale. This is just the primary anyways, no one is elected today.

When was the republican party the party of smaller government, freer trade and less regulation? Is this when Reagan was president? Look at the amount of government debt in this country due to republicans and democrats. We are screwed.

I agree. It’s wishful thinking on my part but that’s what republicans used to stand for. They’ve lost their way.

Some Republicans but not all have lost their way. The root of conservationism is ‘conserve’. I’m absolutely for small government, fair trade (not labor and environmental arbitrage to china) and less regulation. Trump has two of the last three; the first one seems to be difficult for every president in office.

That’s why I quit a couple of weeks ago. I saw this virus was getting worse, I had just gotten over a virus, the equipment is cheap and didn’t work during the training, no online training this year with new equipment and I knew they would not be prepared on election day with hand sanitizer and computer wipes. Sheesh, they didn’t have the wipes or sanitizer for early voting, so why would you think they would get them for election day. It seemed the democrats were more concerned with themselves than the health of the judges.
