Pritzker On Illinois Turning Down Feds’ Help With Unemployment System: Private Sector Does Some Things Better – CBS2 (Chicago)

“Even the federal government, sometimes especially government, doesn’t do things as well as the private sector,” Pritzker said. “What I can tell you is that we’ve got private-sector consultants, big ones, that have come in to help us put up the proper websites that we need in order to fulfill on what the federal government and Congress passed.”

Did pigs just fly? A Democrat actually said “sometimes especially government, doesn’t do things as well as the private sector”? Astounding.

Does the press ever ask the simple question–are the asfcme ides workers even at work doing there job? I thought back in march jb ordered all ides workers to stay home and somehow work from home?..(ie do nothing). Also, i believe i read, the state has contracted out to 3rd party doling out unemployment $ to gig workers which is supposed to start in a couple weeks…on cap fax they were grousing
