Pritzker sets May 14 to loosen COVID-19 restrictions – Center Square

The state will be entering the “Bridge Phase” May 14, a transitional period between Phase 4 restrictions and fully opening in Phase 5. Pritzker said Illinois could move into Phase 5, which removes nearly all COVID restrictions, as soon as June 11, barring a resurgence of the virus.

Planning on heading across the river tonight to an outdoor concert with no restrictions and assume I will have a great time that will unfortunately end when I return to the mess that Illinois is.

Pritzker will parade himself around now about the wonderful job he has done during the pandemic, quote, I don’t have time for politics right now I’m busy saving lives. I will bet he will announce soon that he will seek re-election in 2022 and saving lives will be his platform along with what he did for BLM and the corrupt unions, because if he didn’t he knows he is doa in 2022 they are his only hope.

A proven strategy to win elections in Illinois. I might point out that in the last election in my area only 16% of eligible voters actually voted meaning that 86% of the people are happoy with the way things are.

The mask are purely a way to show your political stance and that you’re “woke” people are essentially using their faces as a yard sign – and unfortunately they are using their kids in the same way as well. It’s sick.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
