For state Sen. Terri Bryant, the vote ultimately came down to trust in state agencies and whether backers proved the bill’s necessity. “We’ve had data breaches before, the attorney general’s office, unemployment claims, even with license plate readers,” Bryant said. “So I’m not so sure that when you ask those questions, even though it’s intended that the information wouldn’t get out, that it wouldn’t.”
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
I’d rather put my ssn on the dark web then trust the State of Il with my medical records
I have as much trust in the State of Illinois as I do in Pritzker. Hahahahaha!
