The Clean and Reliable Grid Affordability Act (CRGA) will fund battery storage, grant greater authority to state utility regulators, create new options for “virtual power plants” and lift a longtime ban on new large-scale nuclear power plants.
Ahhh, note from the article the requirement that only union labor work on these projects! Yet another way to tighten the union stranglehold on Illinois, and ensure energy costs will continue to go up.

What happens on a cold winter morning when da wind isn’t blowing and the sun isn’t up yet?
Chemical batteries will get you maybe 4hrs down the road before they are finished.
Then what?
Solar is alright but Nukes do it all night!!
Or as I like to state, Green, Reliable and Affordable – Pick 2!!

Effectively an $8B rate hike for consumers care of Pritzker and Democrats – they have NO concern about affordability for average citizens.

JB the Hutt signs bill to stick taxpayers with yet another tab to bandaid problems he caused.

He needs to build nuclear power plants. Stop with taxing people to pay for green projects. How invested is Pritzker in these green companies and why taxpayers should pay for his investments?
Northwestern U has a green energy school that I would bet likely benefits from this investment (Trienan) either via grants or access to facilities going forward and there is also an innovation lab for energy. There is a reason almost every building there has Pritzker on it.

Yet another increase in electrical bills for being green, with my apologies to Kermit.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.

Is Pritzker Ms. Piggy in this tale 🙂
