Pritzker still won’t point to benchmark to end mask mandates – Center Square

Illinois is one of 12 states and territories in the U.S. with an indoor mask mandate for everyone, regardless of vaccination, according to U.S. News and World Report. The majority of states don’t have a mandate, including Illinois’ neighbors.

Pritzker’s mask mandate is already over for me. I’m not complying with it and I encourage others to join me in my peaceful civil disobedience. Don’t wear a mask just because Pritzker decreed that you have to. There is nothing scientific about forcing masks or a particular vaccine on others. As British Rabbi Jonathan Sacks said: “Science will explain how but not why. It talks about what is, not what ought to be. Science is descriptive, not prescriptive; it can tell us about causes but it cannot tell us about purposes. Indeed, science disavows purposes.” In other words, science only… Read more »

Masks? What are those?
Hey, this big guy has not plans for anything because he doesn’t know a scientist let alone follow any science.

Search on the interwebs for “you tube maskless crowd video trader joe’s”. The reaction of the Trader Joe’s minions is appalling. They are apoplectic and downright violent. To be in the presence of maskless conservative citizenry invading their safe space and committing microagressions must have been traumatic.

Where I am, I never wear one. Some folks do. More and more don’t. No one cares.

Jabba’s ego is bigger than his physical presence, which by itself is frightening. He is incapable of admitting he made a mistake, so he keeps doubling down to prove his point. This is a terrible attribute for any individual, but it is a critical flaw for a leader. Lori Lightweight has the same weakness. They could both disappear tomorrow and there would be no impact whatsoever. Both are totally inept.

Pritzger and the entire Biden Administration want to prolong covid mandates until the next election; this is how they demonize opponents and paint all opposition as troglodytes that only virtue-signaling, coastal, wealthy elitists can save you from, as they throw you under the bus over and over again.

His most ardent voters and his base demands the mask mandate. And he’s just giving them what they want. Have you visited any deep blue suburban area? These freaks are still masking up outside at the park while in the company of their own household.

People who drive alone in their car while wearing a mask baffle me. Early on, in March-June 2020 when the nature of the Wuhan Virus was still largely unknown it may have made some cockeyed hyper-cautious sense. But now? It just shows how deeply stupid and gullible some people are or how deeply some people need to Virtue Signal.

The Wuhan Virus Mask is the Democrat equivalent to the North Korean Kim Jung Ii lapel pin.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
