Pritzker: Will go to court ‘immediately’ if Trump deploys National Guard – Center Square

Gov. JB Pritzker suggested that the Trump administration had a “nefarious plan” to deploy Immigration and Customs Enforcement to cause mayhem and then claim the need for military troops to protect ICE. “We’re going to do everything we can again to alleviate the challenge on the people of Chicago if in fact the president is trying to bring troops into Chicago, military troops,” Pritzker said.

It’s interesting to observe the partisan debate. The CHI/IL Democrats are, effectively, stating that they support illegal immigration, taxpayer funded subsidies for the same, and crime (both by citizens and illegal immigrants). It’s a really interesting stand to take when, in my opinion, almost 100% of the population of CHI/IL would support greater safety and less crime. I understand and agree that sending the National Guard to serve as law enforcement on non-federal US property is illegal, but it’s still on odd response by Dems to, effectively, support crime. It seems the most logical and bi-partisan, supportable position would be… Read more »

The massive crime in Democrat AKA Communist run cities isn’t a bug. It’s a feature. The Democrat AKA Communist thugs goal is soliciting federal funds for “violence prevention ” or some other farce so that they can skim 95% of the money into their evil thieving pockets. That is why these grifters went ape$hit over the crushing destruction of USAID. Know this: Democrats AKA Communists and all their voters and supporters – especially the vermin Public Unions – hate people who work for a living. They are all criminals form top to bottom. Vote these sewage mold scum into the… Read more »

Pity that JB the Hutt can’t move with such alacrity to get the thugs and criminals off our streets. Instead, the Hutt reserves his troops for defending the thugs’ right to assault and kill the taxpayers. The Hutt’s utter contempt for Illinois’ taxpayers is simply breathtaking.

JB is trying hard to pushthe similarly inept (but trustfundless) Twosome Newsome off the top of the ‘Worst Governors in America’ list.

Since Pritzker and Johnson are “defenders of democracy”, why not put it to a vote?
Don’t make it a citywide, yes/no vote; rather have each neighborhood or police district’s residents decide whether they want them in their neighborhood. So in theory, the NG could be deployed to the south and west sides, but not the north lakefront area.

While that is getting set up work with New Orleans to show how the results from DC can be replicated.

Gosh, every time this moron opens his mouth, more stupid and irrational crap comes out. What he is saying makes no sense and is not true. Hope the people of Illinois finally see this actor for what he is.

Pritzker full derangement to go along with his constant gaslighting. IL is so screwed.

Isn’t Illinois Fun?

The heat on Pritzker, Preckwinkle, Johnson, Evans, the city council and others is glorious. All are being exposed as tolerant of crime, accepting current levels as ok, as normal, and as being interested only in political virtue signaling, not attacking a life and death problem. Trump ought to come to Chicago, give a speech in Austin and Englewood and City Hall and demand answers on why local pols haven’t taken proper action. Pound the pulpet and say “Mr. Pritzker, tear down this SAFE-T Act.”

I prefer the mayhem of international gang members being arrested then imprisoned. Illegal aliens being rounded up and sent home than the mayhem both group cause for the citizen now.

It would be great if the people of Illinois/Chicago could find a judge to stop Pritzkers actions
against PDJT. We, Illinois people, did not want the Safety Act for criminals or to let dangerous criminals immediately back out on the street with Cashless Bail!

We didn’t want sanctuary cities, either. Got em! We don’t want gas taxes raised twice a year. Got em! We don’t want progressive/ Marxist laws passed in the dead of night. Got em! Bend over, IL.

Yet, the people of Illinois voted for the politicians that gave you all those policies. I’ll bet they get re-elected as well. Clearly the people of Illinois want these policies otherwise they would make different choices.

I am not sure this is true. When voters feel that they can’t influence an outcome, such as IL with a unfairly gerrymandered map, then they don’t turn out to vote. The system is rigged for the Dem’s to have a super majority.

Should Pritzker find a friendly judge that will block Trumps actions he will then be faced with eliminating Chicago’s crime problems. I don’t think he can do it and will shoulder the blame for the lawlessness that continues to plague the City. Should Pritzker not find a friendly judge and Trump comes in with the Guard and stops crime he will face the blame for not ending the crime earlier. Either way Pritzker plays the game he has lost. Pritzker can bloviate all he wants but Trump has outfoxed him. Too bad JB, your arrogance finally paid off and not… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
