Pritzker’s ‘move’ comments ‘insulting’ to Illinoisans, Freedom Caucus says – Center Square

State Rep. Adam Niemerg said Gov. JB Pritzker's comments are insulting given increased taxes and spending and far-left policies Pritzker enacted. Illinois lost population 10 of the past 11 years in annual estimates from the U.S. Census.

That’s one way to attack the problems. Encourage people who complain about high taxes, fees, and crime rates to move out of state. That way, the complainers are gone, and the chumbolones, public sector workers and retirees, homeless, welfare recipients, and illegal immigrants remain.

Well they are in the minority. The majority seems to be happy with Democrat policies as they keep electing the same party. If the majority wants something different than you it doesn’t make sense to just go through the rest of your life complaining instead of actually trying to take ownership of your situation and move. You are free to complain away and continue to pay taxes though. Either way, you will get the outcome that you deserve.

I would not say the majority are happy. Polls usually show over half IL residents would leave if they could, restrained by jobs, family, or other commitments. Voters are frustrated by a lack of choice of candidates. Name one city, state, or federal race where there is a candidate that stands apart from the Republican/Democratic Combine. Insulting yes…but not surprising. JumboJB has never cared about he people of Illinois…he couldn’t give two rats rears about any of us – rich poor – working families (as they love to say). What is truly sad is that the governor of the state doesn’t care whether the residents are happy, prosperous, proud and loyal to the state in which they live. “you don’t like it – move”. Believe me JumboJB, if my family was not… Read more »

Vote Pritzker and IL Democrats out. The only represent illegals, criminals, and identity groups. They are not representing IL taxpayers.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
